She later appeared in a shimmering red gown that the People’s Choice Country Awards official Twitter account decided was worthy of homage. Suffice to say she stunned in all of her outfits… but what else can we expect from a woman with the poise and panache of the now-59-year-old Twain? Unfortunately, not everyone agrees. No, after the awards had ended there were people online criticizing Twain’s performance as host, while her fashion choices became another subject of debate.
In the main, the detractors seemed to be of the opinion that Twain no longer looked like herself (whatever that means), with some taking aim at her blonde hair and another even accusing her of “ruining her looks”.
“Totally ruined her looks,” one person wrote on Instagram.
Another added: “Yikes that doesn’t suit her. Blonde not so much either.”
“She’s not recognizable now; too sad,” chimed a third.
“Bring back the brunette [color!]” suggested a fourth.
Another still wrote: “I miss the Shania from back in the 1990’s.”
